Yo, thanks for sharing. That first problem (The game of NIM) is straight game theory and I spent 20 or so minutes trying to solve it using backward induction and those tree diagrams until I finally gave up. I knew the last player should clear the last stack, naturally. But varying the number of coins you can remove throws it in the air regarding how you get to that point. My head started to explode. Of course, there's an actual proof somewhere. :/
