My oral surgeons name is literally Dr. Fear
When I had mine out the only bad part was the pharmacist persistently trying to make small talk despite my mouth being stuffed with cotton and numbed with novocain while I was getting my pain meds. The actual procedure wasn't bad. I took the week off work because I'm a wuss and figured I'd spend the week only leaving the bed to take another oxy, but it didn't end up hurting so I spent the time writing a path tracer and rendering cheesy fractal landscapes out of boredom instead. From posts you've made before, you've almost certainly had more unpleasant experiences in doctor's offices than this is going to be.
Everyone's heard a horror story but you never hear the majority of cases where everything's fine. After my first was removed (afternoon) I had to teach (evening). The only problem was drinking water because it was out of a fountain and too cold. I only had a local anaesthetic so the worst part is the initial injection but they gave me a topical anaesthetic to make that easier. The sensation of pressure and the sound were unpleasant. Pay attention to the after care instructions!
The biggest X-factor you have is how well you tolerate anesthesia. I know that your response is a little altered so as long as they make sure to work within your parameters you'll be fine. You've been through so much worse than wisdom teeth, dude. Let the RPS pamper you and take it easy.
I had a bad situation. My teeth have long roots, every dentist comments on how exceptional they are. One wisdom tooth was growing horizontally, it's roots mingled in other teeth and nerves. Operation went great and I was eating cheeseburgers whithin twenty four hours of the procedure. A bit of pain, but not to the level that I don't experience other pains in a year that are just as severe. Let us know how it goes. It's probably going to go just fine.
I had a couple that were impacted and had to be broken apart. It was nbd. It was in my substance heyday, and to their surprise, I woke up right as they finished. I recall a girl in the recovery room was there when I went in, and still there as I strolled out.
I have no memory of this, but allegedly when the anesthesia was wearing off I persistently thanked the oral surgeon for a couple minutes. They offered to give me my wisdom teeth, and I thought that was fantastic while still groggy. The next day I thought they were horrific and threw them out. Hope it goes smoothly for you, good luck
