The "Pokemon players, the anime lovers, the choir kids" would all have been killed and eaten by the white guys with the trucks and guns 20 years ago. "Queer bashing" was a sport back then.

I'll say this: if you're in bumblefuck suburban Milwaukee and you can take "Advanced Placement Environmental Sciences and Government and Law" you're living the goddamn dream. We had to petition to get AP European History. "The liberal song?" One of my teachers was disciplined for having a "Union: Yes!" bumper sticker on her car.
