Not sure where to post it so I'm just going to post in here, but I hardly see anything going on in this platform. Maybe a few new posts every day. Also I would like to make my own posts, but no matter how many comments I make or shares I do I can't seem to gain a dot. Any advice would be appreciated!

Welcome! Things have slowed down here as the holidays have approached. It's a good crowd, and activity waxes and wanes.

I tend to log in, click on "Chatter" and see what people are talking about. Then click on the name of the post they are commenting on, and work "backwards" from there. Comments > Post > Article, rather than the other way around.

One thing to note: The people on Hubski are pretty tight. Many of us have met in person. So we tend to take every post/comment with about a pound of salt. When someone says, "Listen fucker, you are wrong because..." it isn't someone being an Internet Asshole... it's a friend poking another friend in a harsh tone to emphasize a point... not to belittle or anger the other person.

You literally haven't arrived on Hubski until Kleinbl00 has thoroughly torn you a new hole for making a comment that is not based on good data or rational thinking. His first tear-down is a badge of honor we all wear proudly. :-)

Welcome!

It can get slow sometimes... but I assure you, there's likely more content already here than you could read/experience in years. Check out badged content (click on "badges" up above) or if you'll forgive a little self-promotion, check out the TNG Podcast https://hubski.com/posts/TNGPODCAST?time=all

if I remember correctly, the ability to post comes after some thoughtful interaction on the site. It's one of the many anti-spam tactics.

And welcome! I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for the help!

It's a slower moving platform for sure. But I wouldn't be too focused on getting "dots". More important I think is contributing in a valuable way :)
