I agree, I actually worked as a Cashier at Wallyworld for 3.5 week at the young age of 18, the only notable thing I remember doing besides ringing things was standing at the end of the lane when there was nothing to do, the bags are on a rotating platform so I don't see why you'd need to stand up for most of them. The lengths Walmart will go through for something so trivial would be amusing if people weren't involved. It makes me wonder if it's an issue on preference standing or concern that if they humanize their employees at all people beyond the cashier's booth will expect to be treated the same. "Give an inch, take a mile" fear played out in the worse way.
