We have a constitutional right to own guns as of about ten years ago. Takes things to a surreal level when the founders of the country include that kind of language. We also have a lot of people with surreal reverence for the guys. It's a weird situation. People argue about comma placement in the Bill of Rights
yeah, I would argue that the deification of your founding fathers is one of the biggest problems that America has. It causes a lot of really weird legal arguments, and also stifles change and progress.
Jim Jefferies pretty well nailed it “You cannot change the Second Amendment!” And I’m like, “Yes, you can. It’s called an ‘amendment.'” If you can’t change something that’s called an “amendment”, see, many of you need a thesaurus more than you need a constitution.
