I drive around NYC sometimes, as a matter of daydreaming. It's the city I want to visit in the US. Gotta try different ones. LA and San Fran should be a good start. I keep anxiously expecting to be disappointed in what isn't NYC...

My brother is going to NYC for a wedding this year, I'll get his input as a small-town non-American for you. But I've also driven around it, absolutely amazing stuff.
