And of course he had a Twitter meltdown about it this morning. I couldn't follow it because he is not a gifted writer but I'm sure he didn't further incriminate himself or make any statements that would help Daniels' case. We're talking about a fully rational adult who is also the leader of the free world after all.

Those tweets were written by someone else. They were ABSENT of Sentences like THIS ONE!!!!! And even then, this "someone else" still botched the proper use of "role", and used "roll" instead.

I mean really, how hard is it to just shut up for a while? They keep incriminating themselves on national television, getting off to the sound of their own voices. If the legal strategy is to plead the fifth in a courtroom, shouldn’t that extend out into the public realm??

Stupidgate.

I assumed the incorrect use of roll meant it was him

The lack of superlatives, and this sentence in particular:

Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA.

Trump's never written a sentence that long or used anything remotely akin to that structure. It's not without precedent either [WARNING: fuckin' autoplay in the link].

I'm freshly amazed every few weeks by how much better off they'd be if they could just... not suck so hard.

During the primary I was more concerned about Ted Cruz because he's competent. Didn't think Trump would be elected but he might be less effective than I'd imagined
