In that it was vaguely coordinated with seventeen other nations I think it was a meaningful move. It's better to be late than never and who knows, it might be habit forming.

Maybe they'll decide not to meddle in the midterm elections? Hah, just kidding. Boy oh boy, it's like a geopolitical (ascending) Shepard tone:... This creates the auditory illusion of a tone that continually ascends or descends in pitch, yet which ultimately seems to get no higher or lower.
