The Senate intelligence committee hearing today once again contradicted the White House's version of events. Edit: But I dunno, honestly, that's not terribly conclusive. Could it have taken the FBI until January of this year to obtain the police records that detailed his record of domestic violence? Mayyyybe? Edit 2: Reportedly, both of Porter's ex-wives told the feds over a year ago that he physically abused them. Well, that quells my uncertainty to vanishingly small levels.
The entire intel committee public hearing was kind of a shitshow for the GOP. It was by far and large the biggest event of the day, and it's nowhere on Fox News. They haven't figured out how to spin it yet, and it's been six or seven hours since the gavel adjourned everyone for lunch. Yikes.
