There's lots of delicious water in the world; the problem hits when it has to go through municipal waterworks systems that leech into it. LA tapwater tastes primarily like LA pipes. My water up here is a lot closer to the source so it tastes a lot more like water. Growing up, our water was from a 100m year old aquifer but it ran through a system hurried in by the Army Corps of Engineers. It was kinda tragic because it tasted like giant metal water tanks.
