No one's keen on having their mind changed, anymore. Anywhere. To paraphrase my friend (kleinbl00), our culture has shifted towards extreme ego involvement with one's worldview. And if there's any shred of cultural Darwinism at play, the evolution of humanity will absolutely select against that culture. It's an incredibly unscientific and unsustainable mindset.
