just take more personal responsibility for getting my ass up on the bike, out on the yoga mat, and take care of myself because I'm worth it, even if it sucks to do it alone.

This week I had the thought that it's time I start running again... the struggle is real. Last night I dreamt that I was running in Manhattan and it was a great experience. All alone, in the city, just running. It was raining and it was even pleasant... now I just need to ACTUALLY get my ass into shoes and out on the road.

I was just thinking back to when I started doing yoga regularly. The hardest part was convincing myself that 15-20 minutes would actually do good. Once I've actually started, if it's yoga or meditation or the exercise bike, it's not hard to at least finish the session.

You have kids, is there a way to integrate one or more of them into your exercise?

oh... I know it's good for me... I know how good I feel mentally/emotionally/physically when I am running... and yet... the gravitational pull of the sofa is often greater than my will
