I know a few folks on this website are interested in Ethereum; this might be of tangential interest to y'all.
In the spirit of the IOCCC and Underhanded C Contest, here's one for Ethereum smart contracts!
I love these kinds of things. If you haven't seen it, Bruce Schneier does an annual movie plot threat contest, which he defines as One year, he focused on trying to set things up to get the security apparatus to ban certain very ordinary things. The semifinalists were all great, but the winner ("butterflies and beverages") was by far the craziest: it would theoretically cause the TSA to ban water on planes(!). The threat was an explosion caused by someone smuggling on some pure sodium metal disguised as a belt buckle or glasses. Sodium + water yields hydrogen and heat, which in turn means kaboom.a scary-threat story that would make a great movie, but is much too specific to build security policies around.
