The work is definitely its own reward, although you won't find me complaining about getting to drive it!

I didn't know much about working on cars beyond how to change oil and rotate tires before I bought this one. I printed off a shop manual for it that explains more or less how to do about any procedure; for everything else, there's friends and enthusiast forums. Friends are especially good to have because they can be persuaded with food to lend tools and help out on bigger projects.

Yup, my biggest problem is space. I don't have a place where I can set up and work on a car, and that's been holding me back. I just hope that once I do have the space I can still find a 3rd gen Camaro to tinker with (I have an irrational fondness for those cars).

Yeah, space is a killer. I've done my fair share of fixes in borrowed garages, driveways, and quiet back roads, but it is so nice to have a place where you can put a car up for an extended period of time. On the other hand, it removes the pressure to finish things in a timely fashion and you end up with projects that sit for a year...
