Also, perhaps the grossest looking porno, go on, zoom all up in there.

Edit: Well now this is interesting, there's a tab to see the full transcription which led me to "terrobolem" as a phrase for fire-bearing stones. DuckDuckGo led me to a much tamer version , I feel it loses something though.

This blog seems interesting though.

I was on a bestiary kick on Wikipedia last night, clicking link after link after link. The variety of imaginary monsters and their descriptions is mind boggling.

Edit: Some faves . . .

Also, check out these guys riding "elephants." Yes. That's a tower on its back.

Sounds familiar...

. . . I want that on my wall.

. . . I'd really question calling that "pornographic" for one. If that is, it's tame and quaint as hell, probably even by medieval standards. Not that this is an invitation or challenge to find more or better examples. I'd like my threads to stay pornography free, medieval or otherwise. :)

Medieval manuscripts have a rich history of this, but perhaps married life is more your speed?

I'm sorry, I can remove these comments from your thread if you would prefer.

No. You're fine to leave what you have and you didn't offend me. I know a lot of this stuff exists in medieval texts and arts. They were created by people after all. I just prefer to shy away from that kind of subject because I've seen conversations on them often devolve into the bizarre and uncomfortable relatively quickly and I really don't feel comfortable that my threads could play as a potential host to those conversations.

That, and I really am a prude. Ask Dala. She rolls her eyes at me constantly. :)
