It implies that Obama cancelled the program. Is that true or was it more or less the sequester that did it?
The only thing it says Obama canceled was a moon program, which may or may not have been a good thing, I'd have to do some real digging. Any Obama dissing will be nullified by the "RT" in RT.com. edit: yellowoftops, I just made a ninja edit, but you had already circledotted. Sorry. This is only a billion more than last year, up to $19.5 from $18.5. That's about 6 percent increase. It's not anything terribly drastic, but it does serve as a nice bit of positive PR for DJ Trump, the demigod demagogue that finally took us there ®.
I just realized that I didn't type constellation program in the post above. I just typed it. That's my bad. But then I was reading up on it anyway. Consteallation was the program Bush announced to get back to the moon by 2020 with the end-goal of a manned mission to Mars somehow based on the lessons learned from that program. Obama did in fact cancel that program on the recommendation of the Augustine commission. But they recommended it because he delayed funding for the program for five years to fund education, during which time the project became impossible to complete.
Honestly, I'm fine with someone taking NASA money for education.
