Watch Anomalisa. Charlie Kaufman made stop motion puppet sex and it's amazing. The only good movie I saw last year. Then I guess wait a year for another good movie. At least it might calm you down but I don't pretend to be able to predict your taste in media

I've hated Charlie Kaufman since Being John Malkovich (a film the subject of III rejected for HBO back when he was a reader there). Kaufman firmly believes that humanity is motivated by greed and hatred and I just as firmly do not.

Yet another friend of mine, whose work includes one of my favorite films of the past 20 years, got an Oscar nom for Anomalisa. Yet I did not see it, and will not. This is the depth of my Charlie Kaufman hatred.

Anomalisa is more about a hopeless narcissist but to each his own. Did you see anything good last year? I usually even think the Oscar noms are pretty crummy. I like superhero movies but don't pretend they're good
