I don't think it will proliferate anywhere in the world. Many an unusual invention have found life but couldn't find a place for themselves. One reason I can think of for this thing is that it's nowhere near the real kiss. Sure, it has kinetic response, but there's no texture, no moist, no head movement... no character.
