A little late to the party but merry christmas dear Hubski :) I am celebrating with my parents in Israel. Once a year in our muslim home, the door is locked, the christmas tree set up and candles lighted up. We have fish on christmas eve and duck on the first day of christmas. And that in the middle of an arabic, 100% muslim city in Israel :D
Cumol-- trying to get back to the area soon. We should link up!
I am half polish half palestinian. Our celebration has nothing to do with religion but rather culturally. My father studied and met my mother in germany so it was also part of his life for a while. I guess we celebrate our multiculturality, somehow. We try to not get the attention of our neighbours because in a city like ours (25-30k people) everyone knows everyone and people talk. This might sound ridiculous, but we would rather not get the attention of the city...
