9 of 10 are Democratic, so not too surprising.
EDIT: Now 29 have signed.
Not terribly "bi-partisan," unfortunately. Written by Nancy Pelosi's daughter? What I do find encouraging is that the media seems to be "bi-partisan" on this. Meaning, that foxnews seems to be actually doing some reporting: I hope our politicians stay united on this. It really should be a non-partisan objective.
If we want to go with numbers, 8 out of 10 are "coastal elites."
I'm gonna need to see about 37 electoral reps from red states before I get excited. 2*37 is 74, the difference between Trump and Hillary's final electoral tally. The factor of two comes from the effect of flip-flopping their vote (I know you know, mk, srry) Still though, this whole thing... What a crock.
I think you're underestimating the value of undermining his legitimacy without winning. Imperial presidency or no, the President's power is limited. Just look at Obama since 2010. You don't need the Republican voters to see Trump is a spanner thrown into the works, just enough of the the Republican legislators to see that Trump is a spanner in the works, and McCain and McConnell account for more than half of the brains in the Republican party.
I agree with all of that, except you forgot to mention that Paul Ryan is just so handsome and young.
