The Vol-State seems to have slowed her down at last week's Barkley Fall Classic: And on the Fifth Day, There will be Bees How did things work out with the car?I slept in my car after arriving at 3am, and when it was time to head out for what was waiting, started slow-- very slow. The spool of yarn having unraveled as it had, speed wasn't even on my 'B' list of priorities. I was just trying to survive the first 7 miles so I didn't get swept before getting to the fun stuff that actually had the potential to put me in an ambulance with a legit medical emergency.
Jeez. Is that what happens when you hit a whole other level of running obsession? Medical emergency is typically where I draw the line with things. Not great. Entirely my fault, though. Been neglecting repairs on the car in hopes it will last a few more months so I can hit the age of 25 and hit the next credit bracket (independently) before buying a new (used) car. Backfired on me a bit...
