Forever Labs has so much out there, up in the air right now. We gained some major validation from a HUGE silicon valley VC. It's a name ya'll know. They are interested in watching us grow through this seed round and participating in the "A" round. They will also drive us customers once we are in San Fran. -Pretty awesome.

We have close to 1/2 of our raise accounted for and our largest prospective investors should be weighing in in the next few weeks. -What a slog this is. I much prefer growing a business to raising funds.

Still, I remain confident that we can close this thing by the end of Oct.

We have new customers/patients flying in to MI to have the procedure and we also have some Michiganders that will be having it done. I have pre-signed up several people in our second market, Raleigh to have it done too. These people will now have access to their own, younger stem cells at any point in the future. Some are storing because they've seen family members suffer from things like MS, Alzheimers, Stroke and some (most) are storing for the regenerative properties they have. -They plan to expand and reintroduce later in life in order to reconstitute their bone, blood and immune system and thereby extend lifespan.

I just had a gentleman call me and say he had leukemia as a young man. They did a bone marrow transplant and he survived. He was well for some time and during that time they stored some of his healthy bone-marrow. He got leukemia again and they expanded his cells and used them. He lived and said that he thinks what we are doing is phenomenal and he couldn't stop telling his wife about how excited he was that this exists. She suggested he call us and let us know. -I'm glad he did.

It's exciting to be building a company that has the potential to help so many people.

My wife's grandmother died this past weekend. She was 99. Wonderful woman, the kind of person that makes an impact on you immediately, even in her 90s. She was a quintessential southern bell. A true lady, that was super charming, had a million stories and really lived life fully. She once bought a ticket on the concord that took her around the globe for 3 months.

I was recently at a conference that focused on combating age-related disease and I met a man that studied people over the age of 105. I asked them what they were like socially. He said that each one of them was hyper-social. They belonged to clubs, groups etc. They still served functionally within their societal group etc.

So...

1. Store your stem cells

2. Be hyper social!

Also, meet byonic:

Wouldn't happen to be a VC with shared code authorship of hubski, would it? ;-)
