Wasn't there some shit going down with the Chinese stock market too? The government was propping it up, or something? Maybe it's too dramatic, but it looks like Asia is a bunch of dominoes setting up to fall.

There are two competing narratives: 1) The central banks are keeping liquidity up and maintaining commerce such that we have avoided the recession w00t w00t 2) The central banks are kicking the can down the road and eventually we'll run out of road OMFG I think most macro-economists wouldn't point to Asia. they'd point to Asia and Europe and the Americas, likely in that order.
