A saying that's been ringing in my mind ever since I've heard it.

No matter how hard you stare into the others’ eyes, all you’ll find is a reflection of your self.

  Rooted in my own

thoughts, my own obsidian

prison, I still roam.

  projecting requiems

of conviction in the void;

boundless, I’m adrift.

  For months I float to

mind’s end, vast as space;

thoughts: isolated, dim stars;

  What am I doing

here? Who am I truly? Why

have I gone away?

  No ambition, no

values, no restitution.

Curled, further, I drift.

  All I see: dark pits

projected into every

face I peer onto.

  From my void, I peer

from windows facing mirrors.

I am all I have.

Not much resolution in them, but I'll follow the syllable rule. :)
