IMO, not so much "things lost by aligning with the Democratic party," but rather "incomplete successes due to the failures of a two-party system."
I think that, by this, you mean that black Americans are overwhelmingly voting for Clinton who represents all the bads of liberalism this article talks about. Turns out this person might just be assuming their views represent those of black people, the "liberals who loves these super liberal things", because there is something about Clinton that makes her attract those votes, and it's clearly more important than strong jobs programs, free healthcare, and other systems that Sanders pushes for so strongly. Hey, I think Hillary is a great candidate in the long run, and is far better suited to running the US than Sanders is. I'm a bit of an odd case though, when it comes to decision making. I think Hillary is the better choice because she seems more cruel, cutthroat, and less idealistic than Bernie. She will be willing to go against the reasons we vote her in for, because voters are uninformed idiots, and run the nation the way it should be run. Think about how so many are mad at Obama for becoming less liberal once he got into office. Obama's not an idiot, he doesn't support the NSA for no reason, he doesn't support the TPP for no reason, and he supports these things because they are good for the nation. We should trust him on it and not expect this nation to be a democracy in all matters. In the 2016 Democratic primary, African Americans are challenging Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders to earn their votes.
