I looked through the brief declaration of goals of the Pirate Party on their website, and those sound great. However, if life taught me anything, it's that I should be skeptical more the more optimistic the prognosis seems. Have the Pirates actually proven themselves on the political ground yet? Is there any grounded reason to believe their reign will bring more prosperity to the country than it currently has?

Well, see, I'm a very principled guy, so I figure if the prosperity stays the same but with a whole new set of principles, it's a huge win.

And, they have gotten a few things done, but there's not much you can do with just 3 parliament members.

Can you give examples? I'm curious of what they've actually accomplished. I've read on Wikipedia a paragraph on them repealing blasphemy laws, whatever those might be, which, according to the article, led to an increase in freedom of expression in the country. Other than that, the article states nothing.
