I see no part of that process that a decent food-bot couldn't do. Human chefs are just cheaper than robots at the moment. But if you want to automate the process go the whole way, don't half ass it with a fancy ordering/food delivery system. As of right now, you've just gotten rid of cashiers, which we haven't needed for the better part of a decade, probably longer than that.
The company says its goal is to "democratize access to nutritious food."
You have two locations, where you sell overpriced greens to people who feel more comfortable ordering via a computer than actually looking another person in the eyes and talking to them. What a crock of shit. At least admit you're sole purpose is to grab a small slice of the hip, rich tech demographic. Man, places like this really irritate me.
I just took a quick glance at the reviews for Eatsa. Here's one. http://www.vegparadise.com/dining1802b.html The reviews are surprisingly good. It's vegetarian/vegan food. I'm not entirely sure where the savings come from. The review I read says that there are greeters there to help with the iPad ordering. That's not much different than having a kitchen prepare the food in front of you, then putting it on a table to pick up with a tag to identify which one is yours. It's custom made and about the price of a Chipotle burrito, except without the meat. It actually seems unnecessarily high tech. There's no advantage to lighted cubby holes to just having a table. The reviewer raves that people can order through an app. Most places provide that. But I must be missing something. The reviews are pretty amazing, even when the orders come out wrong. I read more on Yelp, and the reviews are for the food. Even meat-eaters are liking the vegetarian/vegan food. OK, well that was weird. I just read a Yelp review where the person was sick for the whole day from the food and still gave it 3 stars. The concept reminds me of the McDonald's ordering system that I saw in an article. The ordering kiosk is in the front. Anything can be ordered and made to order, then it's delivered to your table.
I once got massively sick from eating at a Mexican restaurant. We're talking about going to the emergency room at 2 in the morning for food poisoning level of sick. The food was so good, I became a regular customer. Thank God I only got sick once. :POK, well that was weird. I just read a Yelp review where the person was sick for the whole day from the food and still gave it 3 stars.
