And in other news, I will never be this good at astrophotography. This does give you a bit of scale, however. The ISS appears about the same size as the planet Saturn in the night sky; at the time of this transit, they were also about the same brightness.
Adding to the insanity of capturing something like this? The point on the earth where the ISS is directly in front of the planet is a tiny, thin shadow roughly 300 METERS wide. The path changes depending on your altitude as well, so if that GPS is off a few meters you don't get this shot.
I have visually watched the ISS transit the moon, but never been able to photograph it. This is something that definitely earns bragging rights.
