Hello, I arrived yesterday. It's so calm and civil here. I'm very keen to see what membership here will become. I read a post here about the top five reddit alternatives. I hadn't heard of hubski and it was the freshest, most unusual of the list.
Welcome Timothy, it definitely is a chill community. Posts and comments can sit for hours, days and sometimes months and have little attention only to gain a new comment that brings the thread back to life and initiates new dialogue. It's pretty cool. There is no "gameification," just the pursuit of quality conversation. If anyone is interested in knowing how large Hubski is, let it be known that someone was still able to get the username "timothy." :-) we are thousands, but we are not millions. Heck, we're not even hundreds of thousands...yet.
