I've noticed it too, and it's a shame. And I don't understand why... It it really just greed? Why is Mozilla also on that bandwagon?
I still follow a few tweeter and facebook feeds from when they had a "un-hidden" RSS. If they kill it, I guess they'll just kill off my access to them, since I generally don't go on those sites. (Like Google+: there are a few interesting people on there that I'd love to follow, but I'm not going to waste my time going to the site, wondering, "Ooh, I wonder if anyone post something interesting!" No, that's what the rss is for - no new feeds? I'm going back to what I was doing.)
