Don't be afraid to discuss your ideas for feedback and criticism... often the work barrier is much higher than the originality of the idea, so people rarely steal and implement your idea. It can happen though...

Well the work barrier is huge. While my partner is capable of the project, he has to relearn things that constantly change, and other people on his team normally do.

We were talking today how his time was the most expensive part of the project, and I couldn't afford him. He has too many bills to pay to get off salary at work, and be a contractor.

I then brought up that his babies mama can't afford his time either, but she dictates every waking moment. I was kind of pissed off the rest of the day, at that thought.

The lectures that I have been listening to say that people should keep startups, as side projects while they are still in school. Businesses take more time than children. I will actually be learning things that apply directly to the project, and have several years of school left. Once I get done with statistics, the classes for my major shouldn't be too hard.

Both of us have too many other commitments to grow very quickly. The point is to fund a nonprofit, so I am terrified of having a private company run off with it. There are thousands of clones of first person shooters for example, so I am still really unclear on what we would even be able to own.

I talk to not so bright people, and children about it all the time, irl. I really am not handling the technical part, so criticism from kids is the most important.

Businesses do take a lot of time! I prioritized startups while in school and my grades suffered a lot. On the other hand, I learned the skills that got me my current job.

I'm glad to hear you're seeking feedback from people you trust! Good luck on your idea.

Thanks I really liked the energy of your last painting. The process on this one was really hilarious.
