Thankfully the Tea Party has tempered the GOP stance on this issue since they are against government interference in our medical decisions.
Based on what I've seen manifest, the Tea Partiers are just standard Rublicans that are for big government when it comes to military spending and legislating socially, and small government for social programs and tax revenue. They just rebranded themselves without regard for the origin of the movement under the Bush years. I don't think there are, or ever have been, many 'Tea Partiers' against government interference in women's health truly.
