Been revisiting the White Stripes to soften my hatred for Jack White today and this ingenious, raging song I've also been revisiting the VU, especially their self-titled album And I've decided this is one of the greatest albums in this decade!
Jack White reminds me of Phil Fish. they both say inflammatory things that, when given a chance to explain, are not actually that inflammatory. They're rarely given a chance to explain at the time, however.
Revisiting Mitski because we finally got her album at the radio station so I'm reviewing it to add it to rotation. She recently started following me on Instagram which caused me to freak out a bit. Swervedriver recently released a new album because the shoegaze revival is very much a thing right now. It's not bad at all from what I've heard. Speaking of Purity Ring (eightbitsamurai), been listening to them a lot and especially this track they did with Danny Brown. Great band.
Stumbled upon this interesting smooth number: BADBADNOTGOOD - Boogie No. 69
Yee, huge BBNG fan here. You should check out their other stuff, the group is famous for doing incredible instrumental covers, mostly of hip-hop songs, with an incredible jazzy twist. They just dropped an album with Ghostface Killah (of Wu-Tang) and had a dope jam session with Tyler, the Creator.
