Got fat in 2014, probably the only negative of the year. Gonna get unfat in 2015. I'm going about 174 right now, which is about 10 lbs heavier than I like to be. Moving to the 'burbs means I don't walk to and from work every day. I think it's no good to suddenly stop walking two miles a day :(

Weighed myself yesterday and I clocked in at 183. I'd like to be 170 or below. I have about 15 pounds to drop. The key to longevity is caloric restriction, right?

I graduated high school at 145, then within four years I was 170. Not a good trajectory. At that time I resolved to get fit. It was easy then, because I had time to hit the gym everyday, had a 21 year old's metabolism, and I had a nasty soda habit that I gave up (that alone was probably enough to drop a few lbs). With these three things the pounds melted away. I went from 18% body fat at 170 to 11% at 162 in about six months. I've maintained myself pretty well since then until this last year. I don't think dropping ten is going to be so easy this time around, because there's no low hanging fruit anymore. The thing I have going for me is that I've done it before, so I know I can do it again, even if it's harder this time around. I need to change my ways a bit though, as I've always focused on weight lifting. I need to switch my routines to be more about endurance and fat burning. Guess there'll be a lot more aerobic type exercising this coming year.
