Because I wanna do a trip report too, I'm feeling left out.
I went outside, actually! That doesn't happen ever. We took pictures to commemorate the occasion.
Estas Park is awesome. We don't go often because my mom doesn't like driving in the mountains. But when we go it's nice. There's a sweet milkshake place that we always go to, and the lake nearby is beautiful.
I saw that _refugee_ made her mark on the way there.
Getting closer:
Here's me in front of the lake:
Man I have such weird, flat-footed legs. I need arch-supports stat, I walk like a penguin. -_-
My favorite pic, a panorama shot of the lake.
One the way back:
Didn't take many pictures of Nebraska. Here is a recreation of what it was like that I took on the way back home from Estes:
That's a sea of corn...is the joke.
Here's an actual picture we took in Nebraska, the day of Eid-Al-Fitr. This is most of the family that showed up, although some people left early. Sorry for the low quality. The men are wearing a traditional outfit called the jalabiya (that's the most accurate I can spell it in EnEnglish .) It's what shepherds would wear while out in the fields.
That's everything, I guess!
Thank you for the trip report! I, and wasoxygen, are both big fans of the tag and of those who contribute to it. It's nice to see something wasox created taking on a life of its own. Also, now we finally know what you look like outside of cartoons! Bahahahaa.
Yes, I always enjoy these trip reports and look forward to more, including those through the doors of perception. As Cervantes has it, Es preferible el camino a la posada, "the journey is better than the inn," a healthy maxim for life. I am leaving for a trip today, have to check up on a sticker. In the meantime, I offer old trip reports from Toronto, Málaga, and Brussels. Be well, Hubski!
