Theoretically I should have time. Practically speaking I've got two shows whose deadlines are already pushing and I lost this week to my daughter's RSV (Really Shitty Virus).

Congrats on the AmeriCorps thing. That rulez.

condolensces man… RSV sucks ass. And if memory serves, she's not very old, and that business can get scary. I hope she and you and your wife are pulling through ok.

She had one rough night. Really, if this is the worst we get this year, we're golden. Thanks, though.

oh man - as crappy as that night must have been - I'm super glad to hear it's under control. RSV took out my family for a week and nearly killed both of my kids at the time. Freaky thing that RSV.

Wow, I'm actually impressed people still get viruses in this day and age. You have to work to do that these days. What kind was it, if I might ask?

Really Shitty Virus.

People might have to work at it, but babies don't. Something something walking on hands something something hands in mouth.

Ahhh I see. My apologies for misunderstanding virus/computer virus. One of my favorite high school teacher's son had this, as well as his other son having cystic fibrosis. He told us about both diseases and what work he had to do every day to treat them. Lots of hard work.

cystic fibrosis is similar to RSV the way leprosy is similar to a rash. CV is no joke. RSV is "just another thing that looks like a cold most of the time." The munchkin is damn near better; me and the wife are under now.

He liked to give us comparisons on the parts of the lungs that were affected and how he taught both of them about functions of his body of it, so it was a more a teaching experience for his family and making them interested in medicine in a fun way. But yes, his son's condition was extremely severe. Use of breathing machines at certain points in the day and such.
