printSouthern Poverty Law Center weighs in on violent tragedies springing from the "men's rights movement."

Disclaimer: I personally sympathize a great deal with many self-described "men's rights activists," particularly those who are advocates for active, involved, celebrated fatherhood. However, this detailed overview from the SPLC makes clear that anti-feminism is a key component of violent misogyny, not a necessary evil inherent to studies and discussions of masculinity or fatherhood. One can only hope that this type of coverage will influence conscientious members of the men's rights movement to actively divorce themselves from anti-feminism.
