To iron out that title:

Mrs. Rewald curated a Met show about Balthus, but a book that was reissued for the show contained this quote: "Balthus told me that he had recently written to Sotheby’s and Christie’s to issue a warning that Mrs. Rewald should not be permitted to issue or deny authentication of his work."

So they decided not to stock the book.

To think that I was going to apply to work at the Met... they've turned into cold, sly creatures there.
