I was searching through the items, and was a bit surprised when I saw Gumby.

There are several remains of logging cabins near our family cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Each has a midden nearby, and I've found some interesting glassware digging in them. Those are from the early 1900's. Nearer the modern cottages, across the road in the forest, there are dumps from much of last century, extending into the 1970's, it seems. My own house in Ann Arbor is more than 100 years old. The space behind our garage was a midden. You can find large bones, cookware, tools, and glassware there.
