Even though it is 42 years old, many of the issues they discuss mirror modern times.

I find it interesting how Buckley seems to give up actually debating him, and then moves on to simply attacking Chomsky's debate technique. Buckley also has a hard time differentiating history and hypothetical situations. I'm not sure if this is intentional to dodge the issues, or if he really thinks he is discrediting Chomsky.

-It's intentional to dodge the issues. I also find it interesting that Buckley is playing to the crowd. He winks, nods and smiles coyly. He attempts to win favor with his audience through charm and wit and not ideas. I was surprised it took so long for Chomsky to say, "can I finish a sentence". I enjoyed this, thanks.
