Tonight marks the first debate where all of the GOP contenders are present. -Assuming all serious contenders are already in the running. The media has declared there to be two "front-runners", Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Romney likes to paint himself as being "outside the beltway", not a "career politician" -though he has been consistently running for office for nearly 20 years. Perry is a texas super conservative social republican. He has the cowboy-swagger that GWB had, which is very appealing to the GOP base. The question with Perry is can he pull off the "compassionate conservative" angle GWB was able to in order to grab the middle?

I will be watching largely because I think Ron Paul injects some refreshing candor into these debates even if the media has written him off as absolutely "unelectable" and therefore not worth a single breath or key stroke. -King makers... total horse sh_t!

I will also be watching to see if Bachmann, a candidate that is quickly loosing donors and momentum, acts like the wounded animal that she is, lashing out at all on stage. -My guess is that she wont if she has any dream of being a VP candidate on a ticket. -wonder if God has told her that it is okay to take a vp slot?

It should prove to be an entertaining night. If any of you have any thoughts on what might/does/or did transpire, I'd be interested to hear.

mk: Ok. I'll watch. As long as I can stream it. I was debating watching anyway. I like to watch Ron Paul.

I don't watch TV, so I haven't heard half of these people actually speak. Based on their platforms, I'm pretty much just watching for entertainment. Maybe Romney and Perry will be buddies and one will be a VP candidate.

I'm betting that Hillary will take Biden's VP slot.
