I once told our mayor that if he wanted a drink he'd have to go to ask the other bartender because I didn't appreciate the fact that he ordered the police to clear non-violent protesters with the horse cops. He looked sad. He always struck me as mostly decent guy. I'm sure he had many competing interest that he had to keep placated to maintain his efficacy.

He was a pretty good mayor but for the fact that he diddled an eighteen year old intern which pretty much ruined the rest of his time in office. He was a better mayor to the homeless and those abused by the cops than any other in recent memory, ah well. I served him plenty of other times after my refusal.
