This article is bizarre. It makes him sound like some kind of anomaly for the party, but as far as I can tell he's pretty much what you'd expect a southern Democratic politician since the 70s to be. Old school, sure, but I thought the conclusion of all the navel gazing we've been doing was that we need more of the old school.
