Since the heyday of the New Deal, American membership in labor unions has collapsed. Millions of workers in modern service industries face capricious employment, low pay, and dismal conditions. Inequality has returned to its pre-Great-Depression levels, and the shared prosperity of the era immediately after the New Deal is a distant memory.

I talked to my five year old about Capital and Labor today. She knows I'm a Capitalist and someone's boss and she knows my heart lies with labor. She knows that Capital strives to control and under pay labor when it's left unchecked.

If no one teaches their kids anything than they'll never know anything and grow up to be meek and cooperative little drones. Why doesn't any one know anything about labor day? Why can't Johnny spell kleptocracy?
