Okay folks, sorry to solicit- usually prefer contributing- but I need some help for an interview I'm conducting for a class. We're supposed to interview a person who has only lived in the States for five years or less. The purpose is to take a measure of cultural values and communication techniques, especially in regards to approach to health and wellness.

The project has made me realize just how closed my environment is- not only do I not know anybody from another culture where I live, but I flat out just don't know many people here.

So I'm widening my search, hoping that somebody can help out. is anybody here new to the states? Do you know somebody who is? Would you/they be willing to Skype in the next week or two for this interview (we need some sort of face to face time in order to properly conduct the interview)?

Again, I'm not a big fan of just taking from the site without giving back. That in mind, I could post the interview (pending the interviewee's consent), with cultural implications. Could be neat.

Any takers? Pinging francopoli because I know you live relatively close and I'd prefer to interview in meatspace if you know anybody.

Miss contributing. Will have more time to do so after this year.

Would someone who's never been to the US do? How about someone who knows the country only from the outside?
