For the record, I love spoilers. After Star Wars came out I kept asking people to spoil it for me and no one would. (I think most people were all like, wtf I couldn't possibly do that because, well...they hate spoilers.) It's kind of fun to ask people to spoil things. They don't know how to react.

The article even kind of lays out the why behind being OK with spoilers:

“The Bachelor” is a competition in the sense that several female participants are fighting for one prize, but it is often more compelling as narrative drama than as a contest.

It's like that, but for everything. What happens isn't nearly half so important as how the story is told, IMHO at least. (Of course, on the other hand, if I know something is going to happen in a narrative that I strongly disagree with, I'm inclined to turn off/throw away whatever material it is I'm consuming.)

So... the Matt Drudge of nothing important.
