I cannot believe that it's been 1763 days since I joined Hubski. That's almost five years. If my Hubski account were a person it would be heading off to kindergarden, learning to ride a bike and driving it's parents crazy by starting to talk back and get snarky... (or maybe that's just my kids). Point is, my Hubski account has some history, some age to it and some memories. -This is very real to me. Hubski is a community of people that I enjoy interacting with but it's also a sort of journal that I can look back at and admire. I have content here that I often go back to and explore. Much of that content has been collaborative.

I will admit that there are times across those 1763 days that I've been more active and more in-tune with the community than others. Right now is a time that I feel particularly out of sync. I'm working a lot and my duties as a father are becoming more acute. I don't want my kids ever feeling like they play second fiddle to a phone or a laptop. Therefore, my Hubski time has dwindled.

This is natural and to be expected and I don't feel guilty (anymore) for it. Things ebb and flow and I know that I'll have more time soon. Believe it or not, I literally make key life decisions like, where to work based on how it will impact my ability to spend time here, with you all.

Over the years, I have made a number of connections, friendships etc on Hubski and I've had a lot of interactions with thousands of interesting people. Some stick around for years, some have been here longer than me and others drop by, make a large impact and leave. Even if you are littlebirdie and just flew by for a quick stint and then flew off, I'm so glad you were here. I'm thankful for you all.

So, I'd like to do an old-school roll call of some folks I've not heard from in a while. I'm curious what's happening in your life. Some of you I may have been closer to than others. Some of you I may have never even interacted with but I lurked your comments/posts and enjoyed them. Also, some of you may have been by the site recently and I just didn't catch it and some of you, like Rico, I'm just shouting out to in order to pester you. Some of you deleted your account and yet, I'm still shouting out in hopes that you'll see this. Just know that if you're on this list, I was thinking of you. I hope all is well!

So, What's up? Do you still lurk? What's going on in your life? -Steve

Even though I'm not involved in this directly, I want to point out how cool I think it is that this post exists.

As a newer member it's amazing to have stumbled across such a great community. Hubski is something special. Thanks everyone who was here before me for cultivating this experience!
