What should be done with spam? I have seen users like this who are usually ignored and sometimes tagged as #spam but do you think that their posts should be removed? Do unregistered users see the posts tagged as #spam or are they hidden? How can we report spam?

Keep in mind - you're currently enjoying the hobby project of a handful of dedicated enthusiasts who wished to create a better social network. There isn't some nameless "someone" to deal with these things, there's four or five girls and guys who have to take time out of their schedules to deal with the problems and roll with the punches.

Obviously, none of us like spam and we'd all rather not see it, but most of us understand that with zero full time employees and a userbase in the hundreds, certain aspects of the user experience will be a little rough around the edges from time to time.

What can you do? Well, I filter users newer than three days which cuts about 95% of it out. I'll tag things as spam which helps with the bookkeeping. And I presume that if I see it, someone else sees it and that I don't like harping on problems I don't have solutions for, so I sit back patiently and assume things will get better eventually.

Seems to work for me.
