What's going on over there, Microsoft?

First they outsource sales for ads, then they sell off maps, next they rebrand their music platform for distance from xbox. They seem to be trimming away the fat to focus on some core service, but what that service is I don't know.

Windows 10 is coming out soon, maybe they're going to take a stab at being an OS company again? Seems like quite the gamble since ChromeOS is free and android/chrome apps are growing every day. But it doesn't have the marketshare windows has, maybe they're trying to get in front of the downfall in the same way they didn't for the fall of IE.

Any thoughts?

Makes sense for them to back away from the phone hardware business. I doubt that is very lucrative for them.
